How To Buy Aluminum Alloy Profiles?
Jun 13, 2018

1, to see its degree of oxidation: When you buy it, you can lightly stroke the surface of the profile to see if the oxide film on the surface can be wiped off. Of course, this should not be carried out directly on the sample window. The owner can operate the materials displayed by the merchant.

2, to see its color: the same aluminum alloy profile color should be consistent, such as the color difference is obvious, that is not suitable for purchase. The normal normal aluminum alloy section has a silver-white cross-section and a uniform texture. If the color is dark, it can be determined that the recycled aluminum or scrap aluminum is forged from the furnace.

3, see its flatness: check the surface of aluminum alloy profile, there should be no depression or bulging. Aluminum products processed by regular manufacturers are smooth and bright. If they are small workshops, due to the machine or raw materials, the surface of the profiles will be slightly concave and convex. This kind of aluminum alloy composite balcony window is easily oxidized and deformed in the late stage.

4, to see its strength: when you buy, you can use the hand to moderately bend the profile, if you do not need to bend the profile, then you can determine that the aluminum profile strength is not up to standard, and the other profile strength is not as hard as possible, aluminum has a certain Toughness, non-rigid materials, use this feature can be forged into different shapes, so owners need to look for the brand when purchasing, carefully observe.

5, see its thickness: commonly used 70,90 series aluminum window profiles, the wall thickness should be 1.2-2.0 mm. The national standard for the wall thickness of aluminum profiles for balcony windows is 1.2mm. The thickness of the balcony window profile is 1.4-1.6, and the heavy parts of frameless windows and upper beams are as thick as 3-4mm, far exceeding the national standards.

6, to see its gloss: aluminum alloy doors and windows to avoid the purchase of open air bubbles and ash on the surface, as well as cracks, burrs, peeling and other obvious defects in the profile. If there is any of the above phenomena, it can be concluded that secondary aluminum or scrap aluminum is processed and shaped. Because of the uneven texture of the material, the alloy composition ratio is disordered, and cracking and oxidation are likely to occur later in the process.
