The Surface Treatment Process Of Aluminum Sheet(I)

Aluminum alloy material and aluminum profile usually require surface treatment to meet different needs. Common used aluminum alloy surface treatment is sandblasting, coloring, chemical oxidation, anodizing, spraying, electroplating, chemical polishing, passivation and so on.

1.Sandblasting aluminum sheet: the main purpose of it is to clean the surface of the aluminum sheet. Before the painting (spray paint or spray), blasting can increase the surface roughness of aluminum sheet. To a certain extent, it can improve the adhesion of aluminum sheet, but it is limited than chemical coating pre-treatment.

2.Coloring aluminum sheet: There are two main technologies for coloring aluminum sheet: one is oxidation coloring, the other is coloring by electrophoresis. Coloring is to form a variety of colors on the oxide layer to meet certain requirements, such as optical instruments often need black color, medallions, such as golden yellow.

3.Chemical oxidation aluminum sheet: the oxide layer is thin, the thickness is about 0.5 to 4 microns, and porous, soft, has good adsorption, can be used as the organic coating of the underlying, but its wear resistance and corrosion resistance are not as good as the anode oxide layer.

According to the nature of its solution, Chemical oxidation aluminum sheet process can be divided into basic oxidation aluminum sheet and acidic oxidation sheet.

According to the nature of the oxide layer can be divided into: oxide layer aluminum sheet, phosphate layer aluminum sheet, chromate layer aluminum sheet, chromic acid - phosphate layer aluminum sheet.

4.Anodizing aluminum sheet: It’s oxide layer is about 5 to 20 microns (hard anodized layer is up to 25 to 200 microns). This technology has a higher hardness, good heat resistance and insulation, corrosion resistance than the chemical oxide layer.
